With the advent of cell phones one thing's for sure...the days of quite libraries are now a thing of the past.
At this very moment, I am at the library listening to a man ask Siri questions (on speaker), and listening to her reply.
To my left is a young lady on her phone talking about who knows what, and directly across from her is a man on the phone telling someone that he has no income and isn't interested in looking for work. Really?!?
So anyhoo...I'm huddled up in my little corner diligently seeking and applying for jobs, trying my best to not be distracted by all that's going pn around me.
Oh...and on the flip side, to my right, is a gentleman who has simply planted himself on one of the cushy chairs, no book in hand, no phone, no nothin'...and has simple SAT for the last hour. Contemplating life? Maybe. But whatever he's doing, he's doing it in complete peace.
That's about it for now. As I listen to cell phones ringing, I will get back to my job search. Because unlike the gentleman who isn't interested in work...that's just not MY story.
Let the DIALOGUE begin: Where are some places that you think cell phone use shouldn't be allowed?
Talk to me!
Til next time...
